Spiral, spiral round,
Spiral, spiral down,
Footsteps running pound,
Footsteps shuffling round,
Youth rushing upwards,
Wisdom slowly receding.
Spiral, spiral round,
Spiral, spiral down,
The wheel has ground,
Life is always sown,
Birth, growth, youth,
Wisdom, regression, truth.
If you’re not ascending,
You know what your steps bring.
